Skipped the annual turkey trot? Today is a new day! Start it off with an active post-holiday workout.  After your turkey induced coma, the idea of any sort of movement may be daunting.  Begin your day with a quick stretch to wake those muscles up.  You will not regret that extra slice of pie after you’ve burned it off with a morning jog! Here are a few workouts you can do before refueling your body with your Thanksgiving leftovers.

 1. Running

A little bit of cardio goes a long way! You’ll have more energy to tackle those black friday shopping lines if you start your day with a light jog.  

2. Spin

Break a sweat with a post-holiday spin class.  Increase the resistance and pedal a little harder to burn off that turkey dinner.  Make your workouts more fun by inviting the whole family to exercise with you.

3. Ballet

Did you eat and drink your body weight in calories yesterday? Ballet barre classes are very popular right now.  Tone your body with barre exercises to keep your body in check after yesterday’s celebration.

4. Boxing

Want to burn off calories quickly? Go boxing for a great cardio workout.  Grab a buddy and head to the gym for this quick sweat session, and you won’t regret eating leftovers days later.

5. Hiking

Be thankful for your health this year.  Even a short walk or hike will make you feel on top of the world after a holiday meal.  Get out and get moving!
